No one can see adorableness in the dark

Posted by: Mama In: Both boys| Ruminations

I realize that I’ve been kinda light on the blog postings in the last little while. The reason is that I’m simply too damn tired.

The boys have decided that sleeping at night is for old folks and silly dogs. NOT for cute little babies! Starting at around 11 p.m., they start to fuss at increasingly shorter intervals. By the time 3 a.m. rolls around, it feels like I’m rousing every 10 minutes to see what the ruckus is about.

Most of the time they just go back to sleep when I pop their pacifiers in their mouths but, sometimes, no go. They just whine and cry until they get fed. Either way, it’s debilitating. I feel like I haven’t slept for more than 45 minutes straight in a week and a half. My brain is addled and my nerves are frayed.

I know for a fact that they can sleep at least 8 hours without starving so I have no idea what’s going on. And it’s not just one of the boys. It’s both of them. They tag-team to see who’s gonna whine first (and loudest), waking the other and then knocking Mama out of her sweet slumber.

All I can say is that it’s a damn good thing they’re REALLY cute when I see them by the light of day.
