The boys turned 5 months old yesterday.

Warning: banalities follow…
It’s all going by soooo fast. I can’t believe it. Watching them change and grow is so awesome but it’s also bittersweet because there’s no time to stop and savour it. I want to put the brakes on and just watch them very, v.e.r.y. slooooowly.
Looking forward, I can hardly wait to see what comes next but looking back, it gets kinda blurry. I so want to be able to recall every detail. ACK!
In the last little while, my boys have:
- Forsaken their perfect night time sleep patterns, regained their perfect night time sleep patterns, lather, rinse, repeat
- Learned to grab things
- Learned to put said things in their mouths (or in the vicinity anyway)
- Developed a habit of laughing at the word “GOOOOOSIEEEEEEE” when delivered in a hysterical pitch. See?
- Acquired a passing interest in aforementioned dog, Goosie
- Become addicted to napping in their swings (albeit in their darkened bedroom)
- Gotten interested in Sesame Street videos on the iPhone
- Flipped from back to tummy (Sebastian)
- Learned to be spoon fed
- Learned that oatmeal makes a fine skin treatment and/or fashion accessory
- Almost outgrown their co-sleeper
- Gotten their U.S. passports (eyes: blue, height: 24 in.)
- Begun indulging in sloppy water sports at bath time
- Become apprehensive when picked up by people they don’t know
And I bet there’s a bunch of other things I’m forgetting.
Maybe if I shellack ’em now they’ll stay just like this long enough for me to soak it in.
