Nicholas is TERRIFIED of loud sounds*. Seconds after the noise occurs, his face twists into a grimace which then quickly morphs into loud bellowing and tears. Javier has allergies. Javier sneezes a lot. Loudly. You do the math. *Excluding, oddly, Goose’s barking which goes completely unnoticed no matter how loud and virulent.
